As a consultant, I use an excellent strategic planning tool with organizations called ASK MATT to guide your team into combining its knowledge for understanding a complex problem.
This isn’t another software tool; it’s a completely non-digital tabletop planning simulation, designed by Steven Wallis, noted researcher, author, and consultant on organizational systems and strategic planning. As I show your participants how to create a knowledge map that is more complex and systemic, they begin to perceive how to chart the relationships between issues and causes, and notice leverage points within your organization for improvements.
The knowledge map we create may then be used by your group (after our session) to make the best strategic decision. This tool has helped businesses, schools, non-profits, community coalitions, and groups conducting policy development clarify their research needs and set actionable goals.
